Discover the Old Town of Vilnius
In 1994 because of its uniqueness, the Old Town of
Vilnius was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage
List. The Old Town, historical centre of Vilnius, is
one of the largest in Eastern Europe. The buildings
in the old town were built in a number of different
centuries, therefore, it is a mixture of all
European architectural styles: baroque, classicism,
gothic, renaissance, jugend.
You can discover this by taking part in a
sightseeing tour, during which you will feel the
unique atmosphere of the historical Old Town and
discover the places where you might want to return.
Vilnius Town Hall and its square – once the heart
of the city life now the place of annual fairs,
holidays and other events. Magnificent, with its
legends Gediminas castle is the place where one can
enjoy the panorama of the Old Town.
The Gates of Dawn and the painting „Mother of
Mercy“ is said to be of magic power and is best
known to the Catholics.

The Presidential Palace is the picturesque late
Classicist palace.
The Cathedral, standing in the territory of the
Lower Castle, was established in the 13th century by
King Mindaugas. The Belfry of the Cathedral was
built on the remains of the defensive tower of the
Lower Castle and in the 17th century a clock was
installed. The residence of Grand Dukes of
Lithuania, which was the place of famous and noble
kings, is going to be rebuilt till 2009. This is
only a small part of Vilnius that we want to show
