On 23rd of September in Vilnius, the State Department of Tourism (SDT)  delegated to „Visit Lithuania“ to organize the Workshop of Conference Tourism in Lithuania. The main goal of this workshop was to establish useful contacts between Germany and Lithuania.

„We are very glad, that Workshop of Conference Tourism was very successful. Delegates from Germany were very interested of our country and our offered opportunities of Conference Tourism in Lithuania. Conferences, international events will be the new sphere where Lithuania and Germany can collaborate together“ – said director of  SDT dr. Raimonda Balniene.

„In Workshop we presented the sevices which we can offer for the clients. I‘m very glad that in this conference we could have a lot of very good contacts and relations with the best professionals of coference tourism from Germany. We could  communicate live and that kind of contact is more effective than to offer the services by other ways (like e-mail, telephone)“, - about the workshop impression said delegated member of  travel agency „Visit Lithuania“, Justinas Bortkevicius.

Director of SDT dr.R.Balniene said, that this workshop was so necessary to Lithuania because interest of Lithuanian Tourism opportunities became more significant for Germany in the past few years.

The participants from Germany said, that delegates from Lithuania showed all  the best opportunities of Conference Tourism in Lithuania. They met with the persons, with who communication can be permanent in the future. The parsticipants of workshop also were very suprised, that in three days they saw so many places where we can be organized conferences and some other events. Lithuania is so competitive compared with other countries in Conference Tourism sphere and this co-operation between Germany and Lithuania will be so useful for both countries.

The three days program for participants from Germany, was made including inspection of main Tourism regions in Lithuania: Vilnius, Trakai, Kaunas. At that time, for the guests from the Germany, we tried to show main centers of conferences, hotels more as possible and to of course, to present our towns.

Conference Tourism is one more field of Tourism, which need to develop more and try to attract much more tourists, because Lithuania can offer high quality services and organization.

After the workshop which was organized by SDT, delegates from the Germany were so satisfied that they have got more information than they couldn‘t even to expect. Lithuania has a good chance to present the country that we can be competitive and to expose all opportunities and innovations in  Conference Tourism sphere.
