The biggest exhibition centre in Lithuania – LITEXPO pursuing its targets not only to sustain the leader's position in the exhibition industry in the Baltic States, but also to become the main centre in the region for hosting international conferences and congresses, has completed the second stage of its development and modernisation and is introducing the renovated conference centre to the public.

The new conference centre has 11 halls now. 8 of them were modernised, one new was installed. Conference halls with from 6 to 1800 seats can house both small format business meetings, negotiations or training courses, and big international events, such as congresses, conferences. The conference centre can accommodate over 3000 conference participants at the same time. Total area of the conference halls is 4100 sq.m. – from the biggest 2600 sq.m. hall to the smallest 16 sq.m. negotiation room. The conference centre has the following facilities: cloakrooms for conference participants, info centre, recreational zones, a new restaurant with an outdoor cafe.

The oldest 240-seat LITEXPO conference hall 1.1 with its retro style preserved will surprise by its modern acoustic video and audio equipment intended for cinema theatres and discourse system, which can be used by as many as 120 conference participants at the same time.

The 1800-seat multifunctional conference hall, which is the largest of its kind in Lithuania, is fitted with two additional huge screens, powerful video projectors, improved acoustics, mobile professional lighting system. The hall is equipped with a modern 8-channel simultaneous translation system, which can be used by 1400 people at the same time.

The 240-seat brand new conference hall 5.3 differs from the others by its cosiness and comfort. Modern materials and functional lighting were used in the interior design of the hall.

All conference halls are fitted with high-resolution video projectors, modern motorised screens, high quality sound design systems. The installed video and sound switching system interconnects individual conference halls into an integrated system and enables broadcasting of the same image and sound in different halls. It is a mutual audio and video communication interconnecting five largest conference halls and enabling up to 3000 people to watch video conferences at the same time. A possibility to organise online video conferences is also available.

The cost of this project is LTL 9.5 million, i.e. LTL 3 million was assigned by the EU Structural Funds, LTL 6.5 million borrowed and own funds of the LITEXPO.

Every year, the LITEXPO houses about 450 various events during and outside the exhibitions.   Some of them are of in particular high international level. This year, two events of this type will be held at the LITEXPO conference hall. International summit meeting of the Baltic Development Forum will be held on the 1 - 2 of June, and International Internet Management Forum will be held on the 14-17 of September. The World’s Internet Management Forum is organised by the General Secretariat of the United Nations and every years attracts about 1.5-2 thousand participants from all over the world.

In 2011, among other events, the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council and international art exhibition ART VILNIUS are planned to be held at the centre, in 2013 the centre is going to house the events of the Lithuania’s EU presidency.
